I've read the posts from last year and wondered if anyone had any more recent information. My daughters is travelling with friends and one parent booked for all but spelt her first name wrongly Holly instead of Hollie. I cannot find anything on the Ryannair site other than a full name change at £95. I've filled in the advance passenger info as requested but still couldn't change the spelling - anyone else this has happened to and risked going to airport? Coming back they are flying Easy Jet and there is advice on their website about this same situation.
I did something similar with my Dad, he is known by his middle name and I booked the tickets with his known, not given name. When I realised my error I rang the helpline of Ryanair and was told it wouldn't be a problem as its a first name not surname. When my parents checked in, it was mentioned but they let them board. But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more0 -
Thanks everyone will give them a ring and keep fingers crossed.0

I honestly wonder just how far Ryanair think they can push their Clients-they seem to have a death wish!
I was told last week that in May they will charge £10 to check in on line, £20 at the airport and later in the year they will not have any check in desks at airports at all!
Frankly, they don't deserve anyones business and sooner or later the chickens will come home to roost!Filiss0 -
