No, I have worked in the industry long enough to know the difference between a Technician, Engineer and a "Walter mittey" who's job is to stack shelves at Tesco of which I have done myself however I would not turn round and call myself a "retail engineer", there is no point in dressing it up, a windows cleaner...cleans windows, a shelf stacker...stacks shelves and an aerial satellite dish installation person...installs aerials and dishes. End of. It annoys me that people are allowed to do this when they have very little knowledge of the technology that they are dealing with, if they want to call themselves an engineer...go to college or uni and get qualified or at least do the job that warrants the title.
