It's only relevant if you deposited some additional money prior to the transfer happening, though.

When they say "We apply the bonus from...", they more accurately mean "We apply the bonus *rate* from...".

Whatever the applicable rate is, you do actually need a balance for it to be applied to, in order to rack up any interest.

You won't get any interest accrual for a day where there was no money in the account!

Sorry if I'm misinterpreting your interpretation! Did you try the computation, by the way?

So the interest is still too low when you assume you got 18 days interest at the bonus rate?

    Ah, that makes sense

Yes just done it - thanks button ticked. I've lost 5 days interest if the day of deposit was classed as day 1 and my figure is correct to the penny too

    Cheers mate

e-saver takes a lot less time to get set up in my experience. I'm still waiting - 2 weeks now- for my ISA cash to arrive online.

EDIT: The information I was given wasn't totally accurate so, and because the website has been updated since I posted (details in the following post), I've deleted my post.

    Thanks go to tiptoe_mouse. :)
  • Just to confuse matters further, the following is from http://www.natwest.com/personal/savings/g6/rates.ashx#cashISA
It looks as if you can still qualify for the 2% bonus if you get your transfer request in by the 9th November 2008. The underlying rate cut will apply to everyone, though.

You could have screenshotted it, or taken a photo if it's not online.
