  • Hi Everyone,

Well, I have some good news and some bad news.

The good news, is I have finished my spreadsheet and started inputing lots of data. It is really good and I am really pleased with it, from now on I can keep track of everything on one spreadsheet.

However, the bad news is, I have been slacking and lost track of everything, like drawing cash out, spending money here and there. I now do not have enough money in my account to cover everything. Most of the bills have come out at the begining of the month, but some come out at the end of the month. If push comes to shove I can use some of my matched betting money, so I will be ok, but I dont really want to.

Hopefully, this type of thing will not happen again, now the spreadsheet is done. Really need to make sure I do not take my eye off the ball in future.

Hi MF - yes, unfortunately you really do have to keep your eye on the ball. Would it be possible to change some of your DDs to help out in the future? All mine now come out around 7th of the month - payday is at the end of the month so the money is usually in there for about a week before it comes out which gives a bit of a buffer in case of any problems.

  • Hi Everyone,

Well my back seems to be on the mend, although it is still a little bit sore. Just need to take it easy.

Although, in saying that, I am on 2-10pm shifts today.

Anyway, I made a lovely chilli-con-carne for tea last night and froze lots of portions. I also managed to make some homemade pasta sauce earlier on today before I came to work. I just need to liquidise it when I get home and freeze it in portions. Several more meals.

    Right better go for now.

Did not managed a NSD day yesterday or today. However, I did make another £5.86 on the matched betting yesterday. :T

Only managed 10p and 10p on the scratchcards today.

Anyway, hopefully in the next couple of days I will get back on track. I have finished my spreadsheets and I feel a few fresh challenges coming on.

  • Hi Folks,

After much deliberation I have decided not to continue with my daily food update. It was good to start off with, but it is very time consuming calculating how much, to the nearest pence, a meal costs.

I think it was successful in that it made me realise how to make cheap meal portions and keep food prices down. I am still going to try and keep meal portion prices down, but I am just going to use my monthly budget as a guide. If I am under budget I am spending about £2 per day on food.

I am still doing the 4k a year challenge and it is going well. I will update my figures soon.

On other matters, I managed a NSD day yesterday, taking my total to 2 for the month. I really need to get my a##e into gear on that one. That is my worse habit, drawing money out here and there.

I managed to sell another amazon book yesterday.

I also made £0.50 on the scratchcards today.

I have done quite well on the matched betting this month. I will add up my total later and put it on here.

    Bye for now
