hi sandy, for the blue hat on the snowman it was a piece of felt (my prefernce would have been fleece though) with a bit of silver cord tied round, 2 little jingle bells (6p each) and a snowflake brad. I just glued the circumference edges together with copydex glue.

The reindeer hat is white fleece done exactly the same as above. I also cut out 4 antlers from a biscuit coloured felt and just glued them together to make a double thickness (more sturdy) and just stuck them on the back.

The earmuffs were 2 pipe cleaners twisted together a little bit to join to make one long one then wrapped round a pencil and pulled the pencil out again. I pushed them in the pompoms with a bit of copydex on the end. The scarf is red fleece with a snowflake brad.

  • Another thought - this could be a topper for a gift in a jar - the nescafe jars are the right shape for a snowman, perhaps do a big scarf around the twisty bit at the top and then paste buttons etc or a jacket on the coat of the jar? What do you think?
