£42.35 to add from matched betting today
another £87.62 waiting to get back to my current account
this matched betting lark is definitely proving to be my main source of income for this challenge, and i've still got loads of bookies left to join.
i'm hoping i can get to the £1000 mark almost completly from matched betting from now on - a bit of a side bar to this challenge for me is to get to £1000 without having to sell my wii or nintendo ds.0 -
Buffy - The main reasons I would use a symbol in the middle of a trade or brand name are 1) so it doesn't show up in a web search and 2) so they can't cpomplain of misuse of a trade or brand name. Advertising isn't allowed on the site and if it's anyi-company then you could be subject to such things as libel laws, trademark & copyright infringement etc.
My bingo membership tracked eventually but keep a note of the dates in case you need to claim manually.
hmm, cool. I shall do it to!
I have been having a sneaky read of your buying a house out right thread - i went looking for mortgage advice trying to work out exactly what I need and saw your name! (turns out me getting a mortgage is highly unlikely!)and thought I'd have a read. I think its an amazing idea!
And..... I found my old Leeds account book which turns out to have 60 quid in it from forever ago - think it might be my first wages? I was daydreaming last night about my house and think it might be a good idea to start putting a tiny bit away. I know you aren't meant to save before you pay off your debts. but I am so far away from it all and if it came to it I coudl use to pay of debts in an emergency.
my two p's and one p's might be a good starting point. its not much I know but I think it might help me, every time I have a 2p or 1p coin its one nearer my own house? I know it sounds mad! but it might just work..............:rotfl:
I never use that account, its almost impossible to gain access to it you need to go to the counter to put/take money so it would mean a special trip.
I could ramble on for ever here but best go to bed, was sleepy about an hour ago!
off to bed to count pennies till I fall asleep!

Hi all, am SOOO close to halfway and have had a mad selling period last week so even though I am close, and having a bit of time off from listing, and will jump into it maybe Friday night this week.
 Accidently sent the wrong things to two people, swapped the items around, and it was embarassing and I had to pay double postage to get them back and then redirect so it is probably time for a break too lol"Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without!!"Nov NSD: ?/30 Nov Make 10 Day ?/300Get Rid Of Debt: ?/2000 !! :mad:0 -
Oops Zoegirl, I was worried about doing that too! I have to post some off today if they've been paid - made very little but overall making something I guess.
A bit more shrapnel in the pot today and made £1.05p from the scratchcard sites today ('gambled' 10p on the PSS game but have learnt to stop when winning). No double scratchcards today.
Need to get on it with making some bigger sums but so much else on at mo...The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Really need to get moving on ebay again, I've got a couple of items left on there, but no real interest from buyers. I've sold one item for 7.10 so have added that to my total. Must charge camera battery.....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I didn't even get any watchers on my items, let alone bids, and I thought they were fab offers! I listed my digital camera along with all the 'stuff' that goes with it for 99p! I thought it would have been ideal for a new start online seller, but not even a looker, let alone a buyer. That's finalised my decision about listing on there again as I just have nothing that anyone needs secondhand. Extra income is proving difficult to come by, but the past month has been the busiest I've ever had with one of the companies I do work for, so I know that all is not lost out there in frugalland.
I've added a £2 coin to my '£1000 pot' just to make me feel betterI reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

i won £5 on my free scratchcard today! woohoo! it's the first time i've won more than 20p!
it took me over the £10 mark too (£11.60, actually), so i withdrew £10 and left the other £1.60 in there to give myself a headstart on the next £10.
i'll add it to my total when it gets to my bank account
should have another £4.13 from matched betting to withdraw by the end of the evening toothat will be a total of more that £90 waiting to show in my bank account
hopefully it'll hurry up and i'll hit the halfway mark before the weekend!!
