    hi all,

    everyone is doing so well!!

i havent been able to add to my total for ages, but finally it has increased and is over the £200 mark so i feel like i'm getting somewhere at last :)

    i now have:
    cashback: £56.94
    ebay: £121.10
    tax-back: £20
    lotto lucky dip win: £10

i have a potential £399 in cashback to come which i am hoping will arrive before christmas!! so that would bring me up to around £600... not sure where on earth the other £400 will come from!! i had better get back to ebay!!

    good luck everyone!!!

i have been thinking:eek: - can you include pay rise? i changed jobs and pay has increased by £150 gross per month - maybe i can include the net amount after tax that i actually get in my hand? not sure!!!
also - bought my boyfriend an expensive (very non-mse!!) watch for christmas already! - as it was 20% off in the house of fraser sale - not sure if this counts! basically im confused, are there any rules? :)

and why do people put * in some names?

AND has anyone else had G*la b*ngo track in Gr*asy palm?

    cos mine hasn't

    and -nope nothing else.

Hi Karie, the original idea was to have an extra £1000 before 1st January 2009. This money was to be actual savings, sitting in a bank account ready to start the 2009 challenge of living on £4,000 for a full year. However, other people joined in who aren't doing the 4k challenge, so their reasons for doing this are completely different to ours.

As far as how I think about it, if the money is extra from what you normally had prior to 22nd September and it's either being saved in the bank or being used to pay debts quicker than they would normally have been paid, then it all counts, pay increases included :)

I'm doing really rubbish at earning extra but anything is better than nothing and it will give me a head's start in the 2009 budget challenge. :)

Buffy - The main reasons I would use a symbol in the middle of a trade or brand name are 1) so it doesn't show up in a web search and 2) so they can't cpomplain of misuse of a trade or brand name. Advertising isn't allowed on the site and if it's anyi-company then you could be subject to such things as libel laws, trademark & copyright infringement etc.

My bingo membership tracked eventually but keep a note of the dates in case you need to claim manually.
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Been a little quiet on the extra earning front, have been under the weather for ages. However, I can add a £10 lottery win, a £1.95 petrol voucher and a £3.49 ebay sale. All money in account and straight off debt!! - hurrah!!

Things have slowed right down here too at the mo but another £7 in shrapnel to add to the fund. I've sent off my first WTC form so that might help a little (or a lot!), fingers crossed!
Keep going everyone, we'll get there and how fab will it be to start the new year with less debt/money in the bank :T
