    but just a question..

has anybody transferred accoutns before..is it much hassle?
i only have one direct debit....on my account, and hubby has two on his, the rest are on our joint account, so to take full advantage we should transfer both single accounts...just worried if tehre is going to be lots of mistakes etc...

Good evening, I have given myself a kick to get into gear with the decluttering and have now posted an ad for my old laptop on Gumtree, which I had forgotten all about until someone on here mentioned it recently... Thanks for that! I even got 30p cashback tracked for posting my first ad! :D

Vinaka, sorry I can't help you with the bank transfer question, I've never switched accounts before, so there will hopefully be someone along soon who has and who can explain it. I've been too scared to switch as I can't fathom out how to pay cash into a bank that I can't reach :D

If it helps at all Vinaka, A&L do all the switching for you (like when you change energy suppliers). Hopefully it'll all run smoothly.
    Well done Nyk!

Evening guys - well I am still not off the mark but getting there! Have done a few more surveys and got some in my inbox to do later. An absolutely massive pile of books to list on Amazon and Green Metropolis - is there anywhere else I can list books?

Need to have a big sort out of stuff when I am off work in the next few weeks and get them photographed and listed - ebay virgin to selling so that will be an experience.

Have also received £26.00 in Quidco so that will hopefully pay out at the end of September and get me off the mark.

Off to catch up with the rest of the thread, hope everyone else has had better luck than me so far! x x

  • Well thought I'd say Hi although I have very little to report :o I got a £10 Pigsbackvoucher in the post so have transferred that to my "Challenge Account" and thats all so far... Hmm... I have some sites close to paying out so am not going to get too concerned yet but it doesn't sound great!!!

I am really enjoying reading your posts tho - seriously tempted by A&L but I currently have an overdraft so not sure I can apply? Does anyone know? Otherwise I will have to wait a little and hope that the offer is still on when the cash flow is a little more sorted (of course ironically that would help the cash flow - a vicious circle I feel!)

Good luck and and enjoy! :D

PS Annie I just do free sign up bingo and now free games and scratchies - I also can't allow myself to play with my "winnings" as I may never stop... :D:o:D

  • well done on the A&L guys. I opened an a/c last yer and its been fine and used the 0% overdraft bit to pay loads of bills etc last year! Opened up the Esaver via quidco the other day, £20 but hasn't tracked yet.

Infact, u just reminded me, I may as well open one account for hubby, switch him from the Halifax!! I did read somewhere (referrers board?) that first direct are doing £100 to jin, and £100 if you leave within a year or something like that, and £25 referral bonus from people. May look at that one for me as well!
