Hi all, good news today - I had set aside £182 for the electricity bill and it's come in at £112, so the £70 (+ few pence) can be added into my total. :j
Bails, I've PM'd you some details of the stuff I'm doing for a bit of extra, that's where the 'cashback' total in my signature came from this year to date.
I now have 2 bids in for items I listed on eBid and a second enquiry via my free ad on Gumtree. I'm also expecting to be able to count in some cash I'm due at the end of the month from accumulated savings gained as a result of doing the 'Living on 4k' challenge. Rather than spend any of it, I'll save it in the hope of making my grand total in time for new year.
I don't do the lottery or buy scratch cards, but I do have a few premium bonds (bad investment strategy, I know), so I can always hope for a small win the first week of October, November or December.
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

My topcashback is tracking really quickly and I have another few pounds can be claimed from 30th September.
What does everyone do about counting in gifts? I collect ipoints and then spend them on presents. This saves me spending the equivalent amount from my gifts budget, so would it be acceptable to find the best price and then transfer what I would have spent into the savings pot? If I trade for vouchers, I have a balance in my signature for cashback and vouchers, but nothing to reflect gifts.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.
