ASDA SIM card now only 50p ONLINE
I don't know if this is news or not, but people were paying £2.50 to order an Asda payg SIM card on the Asda website. As I write this they are currently going for 50p (same as in-store price) with no delivery charge.
Ordering from the Asda website seems to be the best way to get them, as they are never in-stock in-store.

I think the SIM card cost has been 50p ever since the start of the new tariff on 1 September. Availability of SIM cards and phones is very variable, both online and in store. Their (online) Customer Services said they were being deluged with enthusiastic and happy customers eagerly taking up the ASDA Mobile offer, and Stuff was going into short supply!0

The ASDA SIM (Which is 2G/3G compatible) has been 50p and running at this price since August, possibly even earlier in-store. If you buy a £5 top-up at the same time, you get the SIM free (and the credit DOESN'T have to be applied to that SIM).0
