I couldnt have a non traditional christmas dinner. We cook simple meals all round so with chrismas being a special occasion I like to go all out.

If you dont like a turkey dinner then I can understand :) But thats just me.

Curry will no doubt be on boxing day :D

  • We're also not doing christmas dinner on Christms day this year as want to spend more time with the children. We will do it at some point over the holidays.

We never have cooked breakfasts and so have decided to have a full english breakfast for lunch.

My neighbours always have a massive Chinese takeaway on Christmas eve & eat the leftovers for Xmas lunch! Couldn't be simpler, not sure it's for me though!

Nor me, I like my turkey - though I guess it is getting quite expensive now.

I am so sorry to hear this :(

BUT my reply was a joke, and didn't mean to cause offence to you ( or anyone!)
  • It's true when something like this happens you do re-evaluate.

We lost my nan a few weeks ago and she would have been 99 this Christmas Eve. It means Christmas is going to be very hard this year. The last time she was at our house was last Christmas Day and I spent most of the time in the kitchen, that is time I can never have with her again.

My DS will be 6 by then and growing fast and my DD 2. We are going to have many years when they would rather be doing something else on Christmas Day but whilst we still have such huge appeal to them I want to enjoy every minute of it.

Rachie B: No offence taken I'm actually rather jealous/impressed!
