Five pounds per month broadband offer

I was phoned tonight by a BT telesales man who offered me a 12 month contract with BT broadband for five pounds per month. Has anyone else heard of this offer? It seem too good to be true.

BT are the most confusing company ever imo.

I was offered similar (£6 per month for broadband) - took the offer up, paid £6 (broadband, line rental and calls!) for one month and then bills increased to £12 for broadband, line rental and calls! Seem to have stuck there ever since!
No idea what plan I'm on now, but just had bill and guess what - £12 again! When they called to offer me this deal I also told them that they'd have to offer me something better than that as could get broadband much cheaper than the £17 a month I'd been paying for years!!!!! So I also got a new wireless router out of them!
Hope you do manage to get it at £5 per month for the full 12 months!
