I want a new ISP

AOL have been constantly cutting me off every our for 5 months now, and Im a bit fed up about paying for a product and then not actually getting to use it. I really don't know where to look for broadband deals as I stay in the middle of no where and so cant get cable or any good deals.

I am looking for an uncapped service thats about £10 a month, which is what i pay to aol for i think 1.4Meg or something like that - last time i tested. Does anybody have any recomendations of good services I could use?

Thanks in advance, as I am just on the brink of hulking out with anger here!

Oh does anybody know anything about Tiscalli internet?

Ive had some very poor service (customer and broadband) from Tiscali, it also kept cutting us off and was only rectified after numerous calls and fobbing off. We currently use BT (and have about a 5meg connection) and have had no issues to say but may make the switch to Sky next to get the sky+, broadband and calls deal. It's only about £17 a month for all three, depending on the Sky package you sign up to! BT is £15 just for broadband (up to 8meg connection). See here.

  • Thanks ill steerclear of tiscalli then! I don't think we can get the sky deals because of where we stay. We can't get virgin either, so im kinda restricted, I think it might Toucan as we get our phone from them, but i dont know what their service is like.

I can actually recommend Tiscali, been with them for about 3 years and no problems except a dodgy modem they supplied originally, which was rectified quickly after a couple of phone calls.
I get "up to" 8Mb, no line rental and free calls to 01/02/03(whatever they are) for up to an hour 24/7 - all that for £17-99/month

Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.

Before you choose how far are you from the exchange.....better to find out if you can get a decent BB service before you start paying for something your never going to get because of where you live

ie paying 10 meg BB and only ever acheiving 5 meg because of the distance....better to pay for 5 meg eh?
If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly

I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right

    Conor is spot on.

I pay £18 a month from Zen, and the service is top notch, fast connection, stable, instant and polite support staff. And you pay monthly with a one month term, so you can walk away whenever without any long term contracts payments (note how the best companies offer this, because no one walks away).
  • https://www.bethere.co.uk/ are offering £8 month til end of year unlimited.. then i think it is £14 month.. that is for unlimited use/upto 8mb adsl.... they offer the faster adsl2 aswell..
I dont owe nothing, I own everything I have... dont do buy now pay later, dont do credit cards, dont do loans...
