  • Hiya, around 2 months ago I tried to buy the ghds with points but the till wouldn't let me pay with points???? the SA ordered via the till instore - so that they could be delivered to my house..........BUT when she swiped My AC it bleeped - wouldn't let me pay with my points????

The SA rang up Customer services who said that I couldn't pay for goods bought on 'Boots.com' with points- she even tried to order them so that they would be delivered to the store - but CS told her 'NO' ??????

Please could you let me know step by step EXACTLY what/how you managed this???? PLEASE I would like to follow it - hopefully get myself some as well.
Would be really grateful for your help -THANKS!!XX

Hi I bought some last week, they are from boots direct, not .com.
Just ask at the electrical dept in store & they can order for you & you can pay with points.
You get free delivery to store or there is a charge for home delivery. I chose next day which was a saturday so £7.99 (paid for delivery with points too) & they arrived mid morning.
Apparantly direct is sub division of boots & is quite new, good luck & HTH

Yes - this is pretty much what I did too:) Also - I only collected mine last Thurs so this def does work!! They did get a manager to do the transaction as this is a new system and many of the staff dont know how to do it yet and when I went to collect - again - they got a team leader over and about 3 other staff were watching as they said they were using it as a staff training exercise LOL!! Really good service though - they took a week to come and I even got a phone call to say that they were ready to collect.

ps - only thing I was gutted about - on the GHD site there are some gorgeous ltd edition pink ones for breast cancer - boots dont do these ones but there are a choice of 3 through the boots system
  • Hi not sure if any one taking advantage of the smoothies from slim fast in boots stores as they are currently on 3 for 2 and with your HC discount you get 3 for £1.34, which is a fab bargain.

Well today I thought I would buy 2 smoothies and 1 of the normal slim fast shakes to see if could discount, and I was charged 1.34 for all 3, which is fab.

Please don't try to buy 3 of the normal shakes and expect to get this saving as it doesn't work.

someone said here the No17 lipstick voucher is not working with 3 for 2 offer anymore. Is that the case. I have not managed one yet- I was going to do buy one this week...

anyone know if this is still working??

It worked for me on Saturday as a 3 for 1 - although the Supervisor did have to key the voucher code in. I bought a No 17 eyeliner felt-tip pen and a reduced eye shadow set (the 3 colours one).

  • £5 fragrance voucher wys £10 starts wednesday
    not sure of brands included

I got given one of the vouchers yesterday, its valid until the 26th October and includes the following brands:

    *Calvin Klein
    *Emporio Armani
    *Givenchy
    *Lacoste
    *Diesel
    *Davidoff
    *YSL
    *Ralph Lauren

I can't see me making much use of this one as i have my eye on a few of the perfume gift sets which the voucher excludes, although it may be worth trying? HTH

Clare+3 posted about this yesterday (see post 567). Apparently the offer excludes the christmas gifts.

Thanks, didnt know you could do that.

Do you love the straighteners? I have a fairly decent pair now and there isnt anything wrong with them but everyone seems to rave about ghd's.

I have had a pair of GHD's which I used for about 5 years, they died recently and me being tight used my points to get some Babyliss 230 straighteners. I am very impressed with them and are just as good as GHD's - In my opinion.

Tried getting 3 French Connection men's Xmas sets, £8 each on 3 for 2, and trying to get 3 free bags, as I would have spent £16, more than 3 times £5, but the till wasn't having any of it - came up as £50something!! SA said it was cos it was a Xmas 3 for 2 set, but the signs around the store said "Spend £5 on ALL French Connection..." so I was rather annoyed about that, especially as I'd spent AGES planning what to buy.

Glad (well, not really, but I hope you know what I mean...) it wasn't just me it wouldn't work for. However, in my store, the signs by the FC free bags said "free when you spend £5 on ALL FC" so I think they should you let you have one with 1 FC product - I was pushing it a bit hoping to get 3 with 3. But maybe someone assertive could have a go with the Xmas sets....GOOD LUCK!!
