Thanks, didnt know you could do that.

Do you love the straighteners? I have a fairly decent pair now and there isnt anything wrong with them but everyone seems to rave about ghd's.

They are good, but to be honest I have GHD's and a pair of Philips straighteners that were only £29.99, and they are just as good. Personally I think it's a bit like designer label items, it's more about the name than the quality. HTH

I can't make the slimfast glitch work! Is it instore, online or both?
I tried instore yesterday - didn't work, and it appears not to be working online!

The online slimfast glitch was fixed Saturday. I got it to work in-store yesterday -- did you use your ad card and do you have health club activated on it? Sometimes the activation "falls off" the card in-store, so maybe that was the problem? And a dumb question, but you did try it with smoothies, right? It doesn't work on shakes.
  • Good morning all. Just got back from Boots where I tried to use my Sanctuary voucher from the ST. It beeped and the SA - very nicely - said that the voucher states participating stores only and this store must not be participating, you will need to ring the number on the voucher. So I get home and ring the number which is Boots CS and the girl there said 'oh yes we have had a number of complaints about this not working this morning, we will add 750 points to your account so that you can buy it with the points instead:D . V. pleased with this result, thanks Boots if you are watching:T .

Also priced checked the pink Balm Balm still £2.99:( .

i dont think they press a button in my local boots i get the same item most other weeks (co codamol )and sometimes it goes through at full price and have to remind them im in the health club and she presses something and it comes up half price ...its odd when i use another boots store it come up half price first time

i was told it always scans at the price on the sel but it is when they get the 'total' for you shopping it takes off the hc discount. so it may have looked like it said £1.99 or £2.99 on the screen, but when the sa pressed total it then checks your ad card and takes off any discount. hth

    Part of the Furniture
just here to say thanks to whomever posted the 17 free lippy voucher - I used mine at the weekend - though couldn't get 3-4-1 as it wouldn't scan and the poor girl ended up getting very confused, so I said I'd just take the one clearance item and have the lipstick - the darned voucher wouldn't scan so she had to call over a supervisor, who ended up just dropping it in the bag for me without scanning it! so a lippy and a bottle of nail varnish for £1.50!

also whilst there I noticed the So..? perfumes, some of them are £1.49 a bottle! Bargain!

  • I've just rang customer services as my style voucher won't scan - she told me to call back in a few days as they were sorting something out??? Not very good as I took a special journey into town to get it  No offer of points for me
  • A few days??!

It's only valid till Saturday! Perhaps they'll figure it out on Sunday! :rotfl:
"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

Just a quick note to say thanks to all the fab people on this thread. I have got a lot of my Xmas pressies sorted for a fraction of their true value and have also got some goodies for me.

On Friday I tried to use the 17 free lippie voucher with a reduced eye shadow, till beeped (). SA was fab and tried various different combinations. Nothing worked, then the other SA's started to say it was because it was with a clearance item, I lied (:o) and said I had used it last week and it worked then. Manager called over and asked "Where have you had the voucher from?" Told her via email from Boots and she then tried it as well. Still beeping, so off she went to phone CS! By this time i'm having palpatations! She comes back and puts it through the till as boots voucher and all 4 items (2 lipsticks and 2 eyeshaows) went through no probs and I paid the grand total of 9p!!!!!! :j
  • 9p?

I think you've set a new record for successful use of this voucher!!
    Nice one!

Hi - I have just bought a lovely pair of GHDs with my points - you can just ask the store to order them in for you - takes about a week and the whole thing was really hassle free. HTH xxx

Hiya, around 2 months ago I tried to buy the ghds with points but the till wouldn't let me pay with points???? the SA ordered via the till instore - so that they could be delivered to my house..........BUT when she swiped My AC it bleeped - wouldn't let me pay with my points????

The SA rang up Customer services who said that I couldn't pay for goods bought on 'Boots.com' with points- she even tried to order them so that they would be delivered to the store - but CS told her 'NO' ??????

Please could you let me know step by step EXACTLY what/how you managed this???? PLEASE I would like to follow it - hopefully get myself some as well.

Would be really grateful for your help -THANKS!!XX
