Hi everyone :hello:
Firstly, a big thank you again to jtb for the mirror glitch. :T I received my order from .com this morning and i am so pleased with them. Even OH, who always despairs of my purchases from boots:rolleyes: , was quite impressed.
I have had a horrible cold all weekend so just had to nip round to my little local for some pain relief. I got lucky and managed to get the following in clearance at 75% off so may be worth looking out for:
* lemsip max day & night capsules 16 0.75p
* Sinex decongestant capsules 16 £1.00
Also picked up some HRI water balance tablets for 80p which i was really pleased with as i usually buy them at full price anyway.
Geordie-lass thanks for the info about the children in need perfume, i think thats a lovely idea and will be looking out for them when i next get to a larger store.:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
Chapelfield is pants - can only assume that the rents are so high they can't afford to reduce anything :rolleyes:
they do have SS though I noticed on here......
I too have had the lurgy and am feeling more normal this morning - apart from the HUGE coldsore I'm left with for another week or so
If anyone sees any Compeed patches at £1.50 or under i'd be happy to pay postage as I'm having to use 2 at a time on this monster
Boo_2112 i am unfortunate enough to get cold sores regularly, especially when i am feeling run down. The compeed patches are great but expensive. For a cheaper alternative i can recommend Boots dual action cold sore lotion, its only £2.45 and really effective at clearing them up. HTH

Hi and help!
I want to buy the No7 heated eyelash curler, perfect pedicure and no7 compact mirror but I can't find a store with all items in stock!
Does anyone know of a London store (preferably central) that has them in? I'm having problems finding the compact mirror.
Also, are No7 electricals still 3 for 2 and does anyone know when the promotion finishes?
Thanks!
Signs went up on saturday saying that the electricals were excluded from the 3 for 2 offer. Sorry hun x:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -

Also saw a Children In Need perfume, two actually, possible one men's and one womens though didn't look closely. They looked quite nice, clear glass with a little silver coloured Pudsey dangling round the neck of the bottle. £10 each, it didn't say how much of the price goes to Children In Need but I will try and find out next time I'm in.
You made me curious, so I did a search and found this:
"Thanks to our friends at Boots we get at least 25 per cent of the selling price from all Pudsey products so make sure you take a trip to your nearest store from 22 October."
That doesn't clarify exactly how much of the perfume's cost goes to charity, but sounds like it should be at least a fourth.0 -

Forgot to say, noticed on Saturday that there was a big stand of the most recent No 7 GWP, the purple patterned bag full of goodies, marked at £6.50. Does anyone know if these are likely to go through as 342?

They are now listed on .com, although no photos as of yet. It says boots will donate £3.50 from each purchase to Children in Need. :T

Coldsores: Try Toothpaste - bedtime it is best time to put it on nice and thick but try not to go out with it on during the day else you'll get some looks....
I've seen many a coldsore off with toothpaste - make sure it is a nice minty one, you can tell if it is working as it starts to sting a little but you have to get it when it starts, if it is broken out it is usually too late and you'll end up with the full works.
Give it a try!!0 -

I've just looked up the men's version, Hug for Him. The description reads:
"Hug for Him is reminiscent of pencil shavings and sticky cola sweets mixed up in your pencil case." :rotfl: Now that's what I call a good honest description.
Funny though, the only smell I can remember from primary school was a mixture of boiled cabbage and custard from school dinners, chalk and sweaty plimsolls :rotfl:
