Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Disc 2 won't work

I got an answer, he said his disk 2 is fine but it sticks a little on some of "the games" presumably on his computer.

Have you got a dvd player on your computer? You could try it there.

He also says his disc 2 is in English. Can you tell me exactly what you have on your disc 2? Type some of it here if it is written with our alphabet that is.

OK heres the wording on the disc:

'Copia no autorizada para alquiler' and 'Copia nao autorizada para aluguer' and then 'Freigegeben ab 6 Jahren gema (squiggle squiggle) JuSchG FSK'

I've tried it on all 3 dvd players in the house including the one on the comp but none of them play it.

Went back to WHSmiths today who told me I have to adjust the settings on my DVD player. But she couldnt remember exactly what. Does anyone know what they are on about?

Get a refund from smiths and buy it somewhere else. It's a joke expecting you to mess about like this.

Try online using a shopbot you may save some money as well. - I just checked and online smiths charge £16.74 (was it more in store?) while pricerunner.co.uk found it for £12.79 inc delivery.

but it's easier to return if bought on the high street as this user found out. And if it is potentially going to result in the same problem, I'd go for high street in this case. Tesco in-store is 14.97 btw.

I would ask for a full refund and try a different shop. It can't be right if it doesn't play on 3 different machines. Also play it on a mates machine..and ask the shop WHS to play it on their machine if they have one out the back.

Still no response on the other board.

I've taken it back today and got a refund and then went to Woolworths and bought another one which is exactly the same. Oh well nevermind. I'll fiddle with the settings on the DVD player tonight and see if I can get it to work. Other than that I'll get my bf's daughter to post on IMDB about it at the weekend and see if anyone else has any idea.

This means that the copy is not for hiring, sorry I can't help with why the disc doesn't work.

Are you sure your PC drive is a DVD drive and not a CD rom drive?
