  • I signed up for 4. I took down the references for two. No-where did it say that the limit is one for the 750 points. They really do have to honour this. I have had no e mail confirmation.
  • Thought this reply from Tesco DVD rental would be of interest.

'The gift subscriptions accounts will automatically be renewed to monthly subscriptions after the expiry date as explained in the terms and conditions. We do not send reminder emails as they are notified before the account is set up'.

Don't get caught out. Make sure all DVD's are returned before expiry date. If they are still en route you wil not be able to cancel subscription and a months subscription payment will be taken from your credit card.
  • I have contact tesco this morning as I have not received any confirmation of buying a gift.
They confirmed that the email does not get sent until the gift is sent out . . but they do take the money straight away.

You credit card statement can be used as a receipt.

but I don't appreciate the tone of your post following what I think was quite an informative one from me. I'm happy to "correct" my post on this topic if what you say is correct.

Sorry mate, didn't intend to offend, I have in fact signed up with the site, so 'ta muchly'.

However I sent an email to Quidco pointing out what I thought was a contradictory situation when you read their info & when you read Screenselects terms & I received a reply confirming my fears.

Can I suggest you send an email query too because it does seem rather an odd situation, don't you agree?

  • all 4 subs have been taken out of my cc. I have had no e mail confirmations. They must honour the 750 points for each one, surely

What a mess this is turning out to be. I have had three subscriptions taken out of my bank, I only bought one and I've had no e-mail confirmation.
  • they are offering new gift subscriptions with 500 points. The new terms and conditions clearly states that only one set of points will be given. This was NOT stated under the 750 offer. IMO tesco have got to honour the 750 points per sub. I have e mailed tesco extra and not the dvd rental department. I am also unhappy that the money for all the subs has been taken out almost a year in advance. I suggest that we don`t let this drop. Is this distance selling and do we have 7 days to cancel ie change our minds?
  • Just read the terms and conditions again. Make sure you get a certificate of posting when you return a dvd. If they get lost you will get a charge of £20 per dvd. A certificate will help prevent problems

Thanks Tony B. I've sent several emails already & is it stands quidco aren't entirely sure either and are following it up with the relevant affiliate network (TradeDoubler). (I had suggested that they change the text of the offer due to what you had pointed out).

TradeDoubler's info on this offer is :
You dont need to worry about the conversion from trial to subscription.
We offer all new customers a free trial of the service and we will pay
you based on successful new trial sign ups. Trialists will be able to
receive 5 free DVDs. The average rental cost on the high street in the
last year was £3.12. We are therefore giving away over £15 in free DVD
rentals, without the double journey to the video shop, and with free
delivery to and from the customers door.

Have to say Quidco have been very good at answering emails etc. I'm still waiting on a few earnings to show but they are offering some fantastic cash(back).
