The same happened to me. Bought a 1 months subscription by mistake. The navigation is not very clear and gives you no warning that you are actually buy a subscription rather than a gift certificate.. Rang up and got it cancelled.0 -
thepearce wrote:A word of warning .............You may want to take the 14 day trial and have the gift start some time after that finishes........but if you take a Tesco DVD rental trial you won't be able to also have a screenselect one (since they are both videoisland) ......and that attracts a £12.50 (real cash money) rebate from quidco.com. I've had a tesco DVD trial which netted me 250 CC points too

Check your facts here!!!! as if you sign on for the £12.50 Screenselect trial which is 5 dvds in so many days then you have to ask for ten dvds in your application which means your subscription is taken on your application for the 6th dvd!!!! THEREFORE IT IS SIMPLY A FREE MONTH WITH NO CASH CHANGING HANDS. I HAVE CONFIRMED THIS WITH QUIDCO

if buying as a gift.. noteRecipients of gift subscriptions must be at least 18 years old, residents of the United Kingdom and will require a valid address and debit/credit card to verify their age.
not everyone is willing to put cc details onlineAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -

Well excuse me !!!
If you look at the page at quidco it states "Earn for subscribing to a free trial sign-up." - If you end up having to pay this is clearly not accurate, and contradictory.
I took "also you must request at least 10 films in your list" to mean you must add at least 10 films to your queue, as is common with DVD rental by post. It does not state you must RENT 10 films. (You could have 1 disc option and cancel on 5th to rent only 5 presumably). If this is the case [renting 10] then it is very misleading...... but I don't appreciate the tone of your post following what I think was quite an informative one from me. I'm happy to "correct" my post on this topic if what you say is correct.
I also don't see anything similar quoted for lovefilm (£13) only "To receive your earnings you must be signing up for your first no-obligation free trial.".0 -
I signed up for the 3 months yesterday, but have had no email confirmation and the site doesn't recognise me. Is this normal or should I assume the website had a problem0

That's worrying, I ordered 3 gift subscriptions. Nowhere did it state that the points would be limited to 1 lot per customer. :mad:0 -
I signed up yesterday too, but also have had no confirmation email.....just going to check to see if my cc has been charged.0

I signed up for two (which can be added in my account for 6 months rental) and had a good old study.....don't remember it saying a thing about one per customer. That's shady. People on flyertalk forum were debating spending £300 !Addy wrote:That's worrying, I ordered 3 gift subscriptions. Nowhere did it state that the points would be limited to 1 lot per customer. :mad:0
