    Herstyler tongs.

My daughter has seen these tongs advertised on a barrow stall in the MetroCentre but they are £80/£85 for the small baby tongs, £100 for the medium sized tongs and £150 for the 3 in 1 tongs (small medium and large interchangeable). Included in this price they are offering free hair styling for a year for the family (myself plus three daughters). I do however feel that this price is still rather high, even though they are saying that the prices are special offers at the moment (approx half price).

Has anyone else purchased these tongs and are they as good they make them out to be?

Also advertised on ebay - 3in 1 tongs are £59.99 plus postage and baby tongs approx £29.99 plus postage. Anyone know of these people selling on ebay? I mentioned these prices to the barrow stall and they said they could be second hand, but is that just because they want me to buy from them!!

They demonstrate the small and medium tongs but not the 3 in 1 which I am more tempted to buy, but even after asking they won't demonstrate these.

Can anyone convince me to or not to buy these!!

    Thanks.
    Hi there

best way will be is to buy them on line on a good website where they are sold cheap.
I have just found one and its great selarium.co.uk

I am a bit worried about giving £60 to an unknown retailer.

I bought the curler from the stall in my local shopping centre, although they may be useful the real incentive was the fact that you can go back anytime with your receipt and have them curl your hair for you. As I had an evening event that night and had booked an appointment for my hairdresser to do the same for £40 I paid for the curler, had my hair done (which was great) but was looking forward to going back to have it done again for other special occaisions. However, since then have I seen the stall? Not likely! I feel well and truly conned! The curlers are great but as i have arthritis in my hands I find it hard to curl my own hair...maybe mine will feature on eBay soon too - I haven't even had them out of the box.

A friend bought these for that reason too, and was shocked when the stall wasn't there. However, they had simply moved to another mall in the same area - check it out as apparently they are here to stay.

  • Are the ones on ebay definitely genuine from that company? and not like say the fake ghds that are everywhere?
  • i also saw them in the metrocentre to which my 6yr old fell in love with. I wasnt taken in by the patter of the seller rushed home and after scouring the web ive found a fab website called '1giftsuk'. I paid £39.90 including delivery they have just arrived and identical to those in the Mcentre and half the price what makes it even better is that on the side of the box it has rrp £110 and i got a voucher for 20%off nxt purchase. well impressed.

I was just about to order these but when it went to payment it came up with another company (Sphere UK) and when I put their details in it says on Companies Webiste

    "Legal Status: Striking off Notice"

Think I'll give them a miss. Shame because I wanted a bargain but I daren't risk it.
