Herstyler tongs.
My daughter has seen these tongs advertised on a barrow stall in the MetroCentre but they are £80/£85 for the small baby tongs, £100 for the medium sized tongs and £150 for the 3 in 1 tongs (small medium and large interchangeable). Included in this price they are offering free hair styling for a year for the family (myself plus three daughters). I do however feel that this price is still rather high, even though they are saying that the prices are special offers at the moment (approx half price).
Has anyone else purchased these tongs and are they as good they make them out to be?
Also advertised on ebay - 3in 1 tongs are £59.99 plus postage and baby tongs approx £29.99 plus postage. Anyone know of these people selling on ebay? I mentioned these prices to the barrow stall and they said they could be second hand, but is that just because they want me to buy from them!!
They demonstrate the small and medium tongs but not the 3 in 1 which I am more tempted to buy, but even after asking they won't demonstrate these.
Can anyone convince me to or not to buy these!!
Thanks.

My daughter was also wanting these and loved the look they gave in Debenhams. It was near her birthday so I purchased the small tongs on e-bay for just under £40.00. They did the job beautifully and were new, but she decided she didn't want them after all!!! Make sure she wants them and will use them. The ones on e-bay are the same as the ones i've seen out and about (in my experience)0

My 2 girls had their hair curled using the Herstyler Babycurl at Lakeside. They loved it but they was no way I would pay 100 pounds+ so I looked into finding a cheaper option. I got mine from ebay and paid 33 pounds including postage from the US. It chose the pink one and it came with a 'free UK plug' and I was a bit sceptical as to whether it would work, but it does. 2 happy girls!0

I bought the pink Herstyler Baby Curls on ebay after my little one tried them in Wimbledon Centre Court, she LOVES them. Ordered them on Tuesday had them delivered Thursday, amazing service. Have since them ordered 4 more for my friends girls, really amazing product. Only negative thing if there was one, is I would say that the free glove they give does not protect as well as i would of expected it to, apart from that I highly recommend this company, they are called Beauty Products UK. I had a problem with 1 of my orders, called them up on the phone number they advertise and they resolved it for me immediately.
I think this is their shop on ebay. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Beauty-Products-UK0 -
I bought the Baby Pink Curls from the barrow in the Metrocentre and am furious with myself for being so stupid. The exact same product is available on the internet for half the price.0

My daughter tried these tongs in a shopping center in Swindon, admitidely they were really good, the guy selling told me that they were on offer that day (Sunday) at £75 and would normally be £110. Too expensive for me. I went home and looked at Amazon and bought the same product for £39.99 with £4.50 postage. Thats a big difference. My advice is to check other places including Amazon before paying out so much money for the same product0

Thanks for all the above info! I've just brought some Herstylers 3P from Beauty Products UK on ebay for £60.00 per item plus £8.95 shipping/handling they were up for £69.99 plus £8.95 but my offer of £60.00 was accepted... I've been cheeky and tried to buy another set for £45 but I'm waiting to see if its been accepted! I'll let you know what the best price I get is.

I bought the curler from the stall in my local shopping centre, although they may be useful the real incentive was the fact that you can go back anytime with your receipt and have them curl your hair for you. As I had an evening event that night and had booked an appointment for my hairdresser to do the same for £40 I paid for the curler, had my hair done (which was great) but was looking forward to going back to have it done again for other special occaisions. However, since then have I seen the stall? Not likely! I feel well and truly conned! The curlers are great but as i have arthritis in my hands I find it hard to curl my own hair...maybe mine will feature on eBay soon too - I haven't even had them out of the box.0 -
