Thanks i've downloaded it and its great. But i'm concerned about internet charges. Will i have to pay more? I see in the FAQs it says
    • How much bandwidth does Livestation consume?

Depending on the data rate of each individual channel, Livestation may consume up to 800kbps downstream while it is viewed and 256kbps upstream capacity. At other times, when the player is idle, it may use a small amount of capacity to keep in contact with the Livestation network. This is limited to 64kbps.
But i dont really know if thats alot of not? Is it the equivalent of downloading loads of albums or films?

blimey, you've got me there jo! the honest answer is, i've no idea i'm afraid :o it's not something i have to worry about myself because i have unlimited download with my isp.

Does anyone get stops, starts and buffering - maybe it's just my cheap laptop or me not knowing quite what to do - thought i had done it!!

what channel are you watching pip? i'm not getting them. i have found that sometimes a channel is unavailable though and i've no idea why.

Tried watching the ITV ones and a couple more - they load and
start off fine but then stop every few seconds, buffer and load again, start, stop, buffer ...... - put telly on at same time to compare - quality, sound etc excellent but just stops and starts - don't know much about these things - maybe my laptop needs something i haven't got! - thanks for posting instructions for getting channels by the way.

i'm not sure pip. make sure you're not downloading anything else that might be using up bandwidth. perhaps you should try running a speed test to see how fast your internet connection is? mine is dowloading at 436 Kb/s.

    there's a speed test here:

Flip! - that's too technical for me - I'm not down loading anything else as far as i know - speeds are beyond me (but can try to find out) - have never really down loaded anything until joining this forum, (don't have music, films etc anything on here). What i have noticed (!) hard to ignore is that since I have been trying I keep getting send error reports saying Boonty Games (like 6 in the last 20 minutes) which I have never used and think was on laptop when bought. Can remove programme as never use and may be interferring with other downloads?

Have now removed Boonty as never used - don't really know exactly what it is to be honest or whether it will affect this but seemed to be coming up as running ever since trying to watch the TV link. Will try TV link again now - don't worry about replying to this (you have already gone beyond the calls of duty helping with other queries!) thanks for posting, replying and for all your other posts - have a brilliant stock of things from all your other posts!

pip, if you don't use boonty games, i'd suggest you get rid of it. it's considered spyware by some people. read about it here.

whether that might be affecting watching tv, i don't honestly know. perhaps the guys on the tech boards might be able to advise more about boonty games?
