there are several free TV players around, but this is one of the better ones, and it's still only in beta. i've been using it for a while and had no problems. excellent quality picture and sound. you need to download it and install (it's completely free).
it comes with 5 or 6 channels already, but you can add your own, there are hundreds to choose from. these channels are legal - don't expect to find Sky Movies or anything like that, but you can get ITV1, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, Discovery and plenty more. click the logo to go there.

i'm watching police, camera, action at the moment on ITV4

Hi - thanks so much for this - looks really good!
There was another recent thread with T.V. links that I cannot find now - have searched (wanted to copy a couple of links - sorry - can't for the life of me think who from) - any ideas? - thanks!
Sorry - don't want to appear thick !!! - have installed - sound & visual excellent quality but no idea how to add the channels, .i.e., ITV or Discovery ones - sorry - any help appreciated!0 -
to add a new channel, go to my channels, add / remove channels
it opens a new web page. click on browse, find the channel you want and click add to player
finally, click on my channels, then refresh channels. you need to do this step, otherwise the channel will not appear in your list.0 -
Great - thanks! - will do it now! - ta!!!0

Hi - thanks so much Jack - have done it!!!!0

Thanks i've downloaded it and its great. But i'm concerned about internet charges. Will i have to pay more? I see in the FAQs it says
- How much bandwidth does Livestation consume?
Depending on the data rate of each individual channel, Livestation may consume up to 800kbps downstream while it is viewed and 256kbps upstream capacity. At other times, when the player is idle, it may use a small amount of capacity to keep in contact with the Livestation network. This is limited to 64kbps.

Does anyone get stops, starts and buffering - maybe it's just my cheap laptop or me not knowing quite what to do - thought i had done it!!0
