quick fit will check your tyres, exhaust, brakes, water and oil among other things for free. So, before having an MOT you can go to your local kwik fit and have a whole host of things professionally checked out for free. I just had all the above checked as I am about to make a long 400 mile car journey and wanted to be sure that I would have no problems with the car. When it comes to the oil and water, kwik fit will not only check it for free, but they will top it up if necessary as well (up to 1 litre - I think - for oil). They took my car for the entire day did all the requested checks for free, one of my tyres needed repairing and they did that after they got permission from me. Having everything checked and the tyre repaired cost £21 (cost of tyre repair) as everything else was fine.

Their service and MOT combination price is pretty competitive anyway, but if you feel more comfortable going elsewhere or just want an idea of any problems before an MOT test they are a good place to go.

Hard to believe someone actually recomending KF. Why did a tyre need a repair? Did you go in there knowing you had a puncture?

They are on the corner of Halstead Road and London Road.

They also undertake srvicing and repairs.

council run mot in barking is pretty good. most councils charge the £55 recommended rate, barking charge just £40 for the mot. That's pretty close to the £30 that a lot of private mot centers charge which they recoup by diligently finding faults.
