Do you need a Virgin phoneline to get their optical media broadband?

Also does BT charge you for going back to standard broadband?

My friend has only got the broadband, and no phone with Virgin Media - although I can't help you with the other question!Quidco Earnings (since Dec 06): £467.750

BT may charge you to reinstate a telephone line if you have cancelled your line rental with them.
You may like to know that the BT network is optical and has been for years.
The difference is that with Virgin the optical network extends to the cabinet at the end of your street, the cable coming into your house is still copper.That gum you like is coming back in style.0
