Goodnight guys! I've nearly finished my huge mug of coffee but I've got tired eyes already! Hoping no-one will notice if I have a little sleep later!

Yep Cinny, Sally is the fat grey one who likes to sit on you while you're asleep. Some days I wake up and my chest feels all constricted and tight and I realise it's because I've had a stone weight on it all night. You couldn't have her in the house with a small child!

Poor Birdie, I guess you'll be in bed now! Will the new job involve night shifts?!

Poor NIM also, I can't actually remember half the stuff we've said on here, it's all just random 'musings'.

Horrible day here, really sea-fretty and cold, and on the weather they said London's having the hottest day of the year so far, 21 degrees, grr!

Well, lots to do and I'm actually feeling in a worky mood for a change so I'll see you later!

    Morning all!

Big congrats to NIM on the job! This is the one from a while back, right? Maybe this means there's hope for us all! How's it going with the 235 pages of girlie [STRIKE]ramblings[/STRIKE], sorry, musings?!

Birdie, well done to you too! Hope you're recovering after the night shift and get some good news this afternoon:j

I've also heard rumours of this fantastic weather in the south... it's a bit grey at the moment so I'm trying to get all my jobs done this morning so I can get out on the bike when it hits 20 degrees!

Poor NIM is off at Catterick and Ripon in the fog this morning doing some MSs on the Barracks and a petrol station, then he's being the awesome little NIM that he is and is going up to my grandad and grandmas to help with some odd jobs.

We've agreed that he will work Monday-Friday at the call centre (so no drop in income there really, just working wed instead of saturday) in addition to working the 2 (to possibly 4) days at the farm, which in total should give him around 28 (max of 40) hours a week working. It's a shame as its going to feel like a lot more due to starting very early and finishing late, but at least its only going to be seriously draining the days he does both which will only be 2 days a week most weeks. We do really need the money to pay his MSc fees in Sept.

Speaking of which we called the tda last night and were told a MSc would be of no use, he needs to do a whole new degree! Really need to find out the definitive answer on this one!

Hello PR, I'd forgotten about you!! 10 whole days in Ny will be amazing! We're looking at going around OH's 30th in Nov, but only for 5 days or so I should think!

Phew, what a lot of work I've been doing! Lots of lovely progress was being made, then my boss emailed a load of info she wants compiling for 10am tomorrow so that's my job for this afternoon - no dooyooing for me! It's nice though, one colleague's on leave and the other's gone home sick so I've got the office all to myself, got the radio on :D

28 hours a week doesn't sound like much but I guess shooting back and forth between them will be a pain! At least you have the weekends together now, I live for my weekends with OH :) I've lost track again though - is NIM doing the MSc so he can go into teaching? (Not that I have any advice to offer, just nosey!)

Reet, going to have my sandwich and soup (LOVING the bread now Lent's over :D) and make a lovely list :) Very quiet on here today...

Hope you manage to get out on the bike Poddle, has it cleared up yet?

Hi...yawn... night shift is no fun! The new job (fingers crossed!) is rotating 6-2 & 2-10 shifts which isn't great but no night shifts so that's good! Thankfully I don't have to go back to work untl tomorrow so today is a pyjama day!

I'm attempting to catch up on Heroes today, I need to watch 12 episodes to catch up to the latest one so I'd best get cracking!

Ooooh 10 days in New York, I'd give my right (and left) arm for that!

He's doing the MSc for teaching in case the police doesn't happen. He won't know until next January at the earliest, so he's going to keep up the studies in case it is teaching he goes to in the end.
