The ultimate incentive to get debt free, can I do it by New Years?

To be honest if someone else posted pictures of dresses they liked I'd be thinking 'not for me!' without thinking that they've got bigger boobs, longer legs or whatever so it'll probably suit them!
I used to do a fair bit of comping but haven't really done it for ages, I never won anything! I won an ipod touch last year but that was in a competition in my work's magazine!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Spreadsheets, really? I just thank the OP, so then if the Thanks button has gone I know I've already entered that one!
I did have a Roboform thing set up but the work computers must have been wiped since I set it up so will have to set one up again.
Saucepans could be a very MS housewarming gift for your OH if he decided to go for the flat Cinny!! (Just don't let on they were a prize!)Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Pans never go out of style so if you can win them keep them till you need them for your own house! Or send them to me!
My rubbish PC wouldn't load the saucepan comp for me but I entered the other ones!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
If not, I'll drag him to ikea and buy him one of those starter sets. I hope he at least goes and views it, shows him his options. He was knattering on this weekend about how he's '21 and living at home' I told him it wasn't a bad thing but he seems pretty set on the idea of moving out now.
Right, off for my dinner then to spend the rest of my break doing some new comps.

One for you Birdie! http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=15414730 -
Thanks Cinny, entered it and the other one on the website for a trip to Switzerland!
Tell your OH that I'm 23 and just moved out of my parents house, my brother was 25! There's no hurry, but since he's sharing a bedroom with 3 others I can see why he wants his own space!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. NIM and I entered over 3000 competitions last year, not a single win. However I do intend to get into them in a lighter way this year, just need to get around to it! Might be my weekend thing while NIM is at work, I do that for comps ending that week.
Nah I'm exactly the same Tete, I view a dress on how it would look on me!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I moved out at 18 and back in at 24
, still there at 27
I know what you mean about trying 'lightly' for comps Dinah, I had a phase where I entered anything, but holidays and cars only for me now!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
And cash Tete!
I moved out at 18, back in at 23. Staying until I'm thrown out. If it wasn't for sharing the room I'd tell him to hang on as long as he can, time to pay off debts and save for a house of his own.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Oh and cash of course, how could I forget?!!
I have to say I'm ready to move out again, really appreciate Dad letting me come back and I'm sure he's glad of the extra money and company, but he's driving me batty! He's getting more and more eccentric (and deaf!) in his old age!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
My parents had me pretty young, so not even 50 yet. Though my dad was in a big cycling accident in his early 20s and his memory is pretty shoddy ever since. But I find it really easy being at home, and I want to save for my house deposit a lot more than I want to move out. Who am I kidding, I don't want to move out at all!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
