I was just about to say that Birdie - about Dinahs fund getting up so quickly - but refreshed to make sure I hadn't missed a bunch of posts!
I'm having the same problem getting someone to come and watch it with my too Birdie, even my mother isn't interested and that's rare! Might tell OH to wait to one side tomorrow when I get the tickets for the cinema 'The Reader was all they had! Yeah, Honest!'0 -
Augh, really need to convince OH away from the Eurostar for Paris, it's more than double the cost of the plane. Might mention that the £70 we save will go towards a nicer hotel... May have to use my feminine wiles on him later. He's pretty adamant about it though.
Sorry, bit of a random post, it's just what I've been doing with my morning so far!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Just tell him you're scared to use the eurostar now, that you think the victorians were right about high speeds causing your head to pop.
Oooh, my new red penny loafers are waiting at home for me! Can wear them when I drag OH around another 'big house thing' on saturday, picked Sudbury Hall and the Museum of Childhood!0 -
There's a fair bit of nudity in it girls if that might convince your OHs! Although I don't think men tend to fancy Kate Winslet very much do they?

I'll mention it to OH, might sway him. I could argue I'm taking him to see naked people for his birthday?
I've only been once, when I was about 9/10 can't remember much but I remember it was good!0 -
NIM 'hmmmm-d' to the Kate Winslet thing in the way that always means 'i dont want to say yes as you might hurt me'....Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

He might go and see it with you then! I don't mind OH fancying famous people, it just bothers me a bit that no-one he likes looks remotely like me, they're all really petite and tiny with either really dark hair or red hair, it's a bit disconcerting!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hey my sister had her little boy this morning - 9lbs, no name for him yet. Great news! I am really pleased and looking forward to getting to meet him, or at least seeing a few pics.
This is my sister's third boy, she has Eoin who's 6, Darragh 2 and now the new little one. My other sister has Daniel 4, and Sophia 2. I love the way they have such unique personalities, even though they are still small. Being an Auntie is cool as you get all the fun of having kids, and none of the responsibility!
I wish we all lived closer, as I'm in London and my sisters are in Ireland and Denmark. The only bummer is that since my sisters became Mums they're not that bothered about what I get up to.
Hope your arms is not too numb Dinah - so exciting about your hols! I would also have had a big huff LOL.
Tete - it doesn't sound like it's worth paying the extra for Eurostar 'experience' as it's just a train after all. Tell him to think of the nice dinners you could get with an extra £70...

Same here, OH used to have a 'thing' for Rachel Bilson. She doesn't look a thing like me! At least I tend to lean towards people who kind of look a bit like OH -Gary Barlow, the vicar from Hollyoaks who turned out to be gay and then got killed by a mad man, you know. Things along those lines!
Looks like you're off to see The Reader Dinah!0 -
Yay, congrats Lara! Three boys - your poor sis will have her hands full!! Hey, at least as you live far away you can't be called upon for babysitting duties every other day
Have you been to Denmark then? What's it like? It's on my list! And you're right, it IS just a train, I'll tell him that, thanks!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
