The ultimate incentive to get debt free, can I do it by New Years?

Yeah I've heard that said by a few women who moved straight in with a guy from his mums house, all 3 of them ended up moving out and leaving the poor bloke in the end. Always seems one of the saddest reasons to break up, when you get on as people. have chemistry but can't find common ground as roommates.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I honestly believe the only way my mum coped was because my dad was working 12hour days.
I love my OH to bits but I love my own space too, I don't think I could cope with him 24/7!0 -
I don't mind about the age, I'm abit too grown up for my age and he's immature for his so we meet in the middle. I have told him that when he turns 30 he'll be married (at least I blummin' hope married if we're still together then) to a 26 year old and he can feel like a bit of a stud. I cringed when I said that word then and I cringe when I write it now!
I thought it was the word 'stud' making you cringe! :rotfl:
I always thought I'd like to live alone for a little while but can't really see that happening now. I've lived away at uni and when I was working in Newcastle though so guess I won't really feel like I've missed out too much...
I've crossed TWO whole things off my work to-do list this morning which is more than I've deon since November I think, I've been spending my time 'fire-fighting'-doing urgent things that keep coming up rather than getting on with my real work so it's nice to be able to see yy desk again...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Congrats Tete!
I've only lived 'on my own' while at uni too, but you have to feed yourself, pay bills, wash clothes etc so I'm counting it!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Exactly, and when I was working I even paid council tax so it's doubly counted!
:j I'm so happy and have to share - my £472 has gone back into my account!! I've been chasing it since 12 Dec and it's finally gone back in, I feel rich! Woo!!!:j
Must now resist the urge to splurge as I do have that money earmarked for my ISA
off for dinner, bon appetit tout le monde!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

It was! *shudder*
Good going on your work Tete! My dad is sorting out an 'urgent' job so I'm guessing I can kiss good bye to my freshly cleared work trays.0 -

Be strong! I've just hit the point of money saving where the thought of the bigger numbers in my bank account excites me more than shopping.
I am turning into my grandad.
How are you feeling, Dinah?0 -
Well I confess I had a little peek in the sales, but nothing doing so I've treated myself to a posh bag of crisps and that will have to do! Ugh, my list is ever-expanding so bast get back to itWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Noticed STP is back up but no scout rooms!
You're living the high life, Tete! Atleast if you find something you want you'll be able to treat yourself.
Trying to find something for me and OH to do this weekend on the cheap, can't seem to find any free events so it might just be going for a walk!0 -
I got a nice book on RiSi giving me some walks in the lake district, so going to go on some of those when it's a little warmer.
Feeling okay today, not as good as yesterday strangely. OH and I are having a race this afternoon, I have 3 surveys and 30 ebay listings to do, he has 30 job adverts and a dooyoo review to do, see who can finish first!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
