plumber needed - worthing area

Help - I need a reliable plumber in the Worthing (West Sussex) area. I have a combi boiler that's been kicking out soot into my kitchen for the last 2 years. A plumber called in April to fit new seals but they were defective and he promised to call back the following week to fit new ones. I'm still waiting and constant calls to the plumber have been fruitless. Also, there's a leak in the system somewhere as the pressure keeps dropping. No-one seems to be prepared to help me locate the fault. I know what you're thinking - get a new boiler - but I can't afford it! Does anyone know someone I can call on who is corgi registered and can help me out?

Soot outside a boiler casing means one thing, it should be capped off as immediately dangerous.
See if there's someone from the IPHE Registered Plumber list in your area that's also Corgi registered for central heating work.
No gurantees but it's worth a try.

!!!
Surely they couldn't have left it like that though? If there is any risk could you expand on it as they assured me it was just seals that needed changing!
Thanks in advance0 -
As long as the seals are changed immediately and any further causes of the sooting are identified and rectified then no problem. A boiler should never be left running if the case seals are known to be defective. Soot outside the case is likely to mean that there is plenty of soot inside as well, which will further interfere with the combustion process, increasing the risk of carbon monoxide.0
