When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Hi to any new posters and a big shout to the usual gang:j
Thanks Andan for doing the thread lately I am trying to get back to normality now so here goes -
Today I will:
Have holidays booked from work for rest of the week so will probably just be pottering about at home.
Catch up with you all later:D

Hi all
I don't mean to be a party pooper here but should we be advocating using the company electricity to charge your phones? I would have thought that this was stealing if you have not asked - but then I am assuming you haven't!
However, a lad I worked with a while ago was sacked for charging his mobile at work, the reason given was that all portable appliances have to undergo a check by a qualified electrician each year and appliances bought in by employees could not be excepted. He was warned but kept on doing it and in the end they sacked him.
Just a thought.

Hermoine, he was warned and continued? I think that was the problem
It is permitted at our place, not just because our electricity is included in our rent. But I do insist they unplug after charging is completed for environmental reasons
Welcome back sophiesmum :hello:
