The exact opposite of a one line put down (which on occasion you are quite good at). Not one of your best PP, and you know I am normally a fan these days.

no, i totally disagree with you.
As a prosecutor, you don't try to convict people you know are innocent.
As a defender, you don't try to defend those you know are guilty.
My interpretation of the above is that one' opinion of the guilt of the defendant is not the issue. That it is not the role of the defendant to defend the guilty, but rather to fulfil the role our judicial system of providing educated defence fr someone who may or may not be guilty. The role of the proseutor is not to 'send down' someone who is innocent but rather to present a case showing the case against the defendant, terefore fulfilling the role of justice system. They try to prove a case, not try and send anyone who sits in the dock down. It is IMO incorrect of the above quote from NDG that is fueling this discussion. Then you say:
You can't 'know' someone is lying to you, you might feel it strongly, but you can't know it.
So NDG doesn't defend people she apparently KNOWS are guilty.
So how does she know they aren't guilty?:p
No, she doesn't know whther they are guilty or not ...prsuming she was doing a criminal case, which is not her speciality, I'm not going to try and use her area of law..of which I an fundamentally ignorant of, in this example. She can think they are guilty or innocent or a bunch of bananas and defend them What she cannot do is receive admission from them and then defend them as innocent in court, she could take the case forward as a guilty plea but not as an innocent one. otherwise what she thinks is not imortant, it i the job of the court, not one person, to determine guilt or innocence.0 -

No, she went to the dentist. Similar, but different. I'll reply in more detail later....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Really, don't waste your time with those sorts. Some people feel so bad about themselves that they have to come on to internet boards to find somewhere where they can argue with people. Presumably, in real life others have learned to give them a wide berth.--
Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.0 -

So you start a post to 'commiserate' all those STRs because of the Icesave crisis?
What on earth do Selling To Rent and saving cash in Icesave have to do with each other in anything other than a coincidental sense?
I'd be willing to bet that most people with Icesave accounts were regular savers and the most people who had the fortitude to STR had an inkling of what was coming and put their cash somewhere like NS&I or NR (post-guarantee).
It was a pathetic and transparent attempt to troll. Now having been called on it you put on the wounded, teary eyed act to portray yourself as the poor misunderstood good guy.--

You are probably right. I will only bother if I find myself bored and fed up....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Which you often are every day of the week!!:p
You read every single post on this site alone - AND reply to most of them!
The only reason cat's got your tounge this time is cos you can't come up with an answer. You know I'm right - and you can't think of an answer to wriggle out of it!:p
So instead of answering my question you're sort of cyber-hiding and letting the same few old oddballs speak on your behalf!:rotfl: Oh, and you then press their THANKS button while hiding in your hole!:D
Bit peculiar actually.
Anyway...........back to my question.....................did you trip yourself up or not?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
What a typically moronic response, and one that is not unexpected from one of the multitude of gutless, dribbling cretins that now inhabit this decaying island . Brown is borrowing against the future prosperity of this country and leading us into bankruptcy with his inept policies and all you can do is shrug your shoulders, accept them without question and do your best to help him with the wholesale destruction of our society.
I don't like this scheme, so I'm not going to encourage or help anyone to use it. If you're brave enough to take the risk of borrowing more than you can pay back, should economic conditions change, then as far as I'm concerned you can be man enough to suffer the consequences.
Brave?
No. Irresponsible, probably greedy, deluded.
Brave people go out and work hard and live within their means and take responsibility for the potential pitfalls in life by saving and/or taking out insurance etc.
Brave people might borrow money in order to set up a realistic business based on hard work as opposed to pie in the sky schemes.
I don't want to help the OP in any way. I want to pay less tax so I can save up and get out of this increasingly sad little country full of people that think not paying their debts is a right.
Unkind? Yes. Why? Retaliation, because I am fed up of people burdening me , and my children , with a huge tax bill for decades. Now that is really unkind and selfish don't you think?
No doubt the OP will gratefully accept the hand out, quantify his/her debt to society, and look to repay his/her hard working ,solvent, responsible neighbours as soon as possible....:rotfl:0
