Government's Mortgage Rescue

Can anybody tell me where to go to get help with the new Mortgage Rescue Scheme the government has brought in, to help those of us in mortgage trouble?

Cut out the middle man, just find the nearest hard working tax payer and take his wallet. After all, it is his duty to bail you out for your own financial stupidity.

    That's a bit harsh.

Hi dunn4..posted this on other thread too but just in case it gets lost, did it again.............sorry to read the above and I sympathise with the difficult situation you are in.
From what I have read on these boards, some of these schemes get a lot of press but are actually quite difficult to access. Your other thread may throw up some help on where to start.

The other option is to drop the price right down to get a quick sale as it would be better for you to sell it yourself than get repo'd.
I know it's easier said than done, but homes are selling if the price is low enough.
You don't mention if you are getting advice from CAB or Shelter but this board http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...play.html?f=76 has some very helpful and sympathetic posters on it who have 'been there' and I have seen a lot of good advice for people who are at risk of repo.

In fact go there now as you may get some negative posts on this board which won't help you at all.

Sorry I can't be of more help

    C.

Exactly. I have not been shy in saying I am vehemently against the scheme and its motivation, but I am not insensitive to the plight of individuals and however I feel about it, however they have arrived at their situation at this point our frustration is neither well received, nor contructive

    Good luck OP

I read this guys other post and from what I read its this kind of person that needs help, went to uni to become a teacher etc.. and from what I can gather is in this position because his OH took ill.

I hope you find what you're looking for, unfortunately you are the kind of person the system should help but won't thanks to good old Gordy

The online light is still green but I hope OP hasn't been frightened off. It's really difficult to post personal problems on forums....then one neg post (zammo is entitled to his view but it wasn't appropriate to post it IMV) and the poster doesn't get the help and support from others who have had similar experiences to support her through it.
I hope OP gets to DFW board.

I'm sure the OP doesn't mind a little joke - not on him - but directed at the government.

Especially when it is followed by constructive help from others like fc123 and yourself.

What a typically moronic response, and one that is not unexpected from one of the multitude of gutless, dribbling cretins that now inhabit this decaying island . Brown is borrowing against the future prosperity of this country and leading us into bankruptcy with his inept policies and all you can do is shrug your shoulders, accept them without question and do your best to help him with the wholesale destruction of our society.

I don't like this scheme, so I'm not going to encourage or help anyone to use it. If you're brave enough to take the risk of borrowing more than you can pay back, should economic conditions change, then as far as I'm concerned you can be man enough to suffer the consequences.

Have you considered emigration to somewhere 'better'? I, for one, would be prepared to contribute to a whip-round to raise the funds necessary for your air fare (one way only, of course ;)).
