Goodness me Neil, what did you want an explanation, the OP did not have to give you one, none of us could see a problem only YOU did.

Lets be honest if the Judge had thought it was a stupid request he would not have granted it, so that surely should have been enough for you, I found your post pretty offensive, and that is why I replied how much I admire the Police. This board says it is not about judging people maybe you forgot that eh!

I wish you the very best of luck 1bigmess, ignore people who have to have explanations, you should not have to explain yourself on here as to why your address should have been withheld. At least you can sleep at night knowing you and your family are safe from the people out there who would want revenge.

    Take care

Thanks for the info. Obviously, in this case, your address should not be published.

The 'upset a few people' bit did ring a bit unreasonable as you will realise.

The problem is that this site is increasingly becoming full of posters that think becoming bankrupt/not paying debts is a cause for celebration.

I assure you I see my bankruptcy as nothing worthy of celebration. Like many on here I have a family and now I will lose my house and the bankruptcy seriously effects my ability to find work in the field I am experienced in. I don't believe anyone takes the decision lightly. And trust me, even though my address is not published with my ridiculous middle name, people will be in no doubt that it relates to me:D

It's a relief to lose the debts, but the celebrations are on hold until I get my life back on track although BR was the first huge step towards that

Exactly, but some positiveness from people for getting over hurdles doesnt hurt. support is a good thing. Unfortunatley there are a few trolls on MSE who get some perverse pleasure in goading and trying to upset people. Its life and human nature Im afraid.

It still deservers a well done and congratulations for being strong and facing these problems head on.

Chin up, one day at a time. It will get better (trust me every day I feel a little better about life) Just dont rush things and take it as it comes.
"Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

  • I wish that neillgb could get banned from this site. He really upset me when he posted on my thread and made me feel like !!!!. We don't need people like that on here when we are all supporting eachother, he seems to enjoy putting people down and having a go at them for their problems. He just acted like another one of my creditors, as if things aren't bad enough for me as it is! Please try to ignore him, I think it's best not to rise to the bait

    Hi WW

Please don`t let the likes of Neillgb get the better of you. Its that old saying....`until you have walked in that persons shoes` . I really hope neillgb is not in the position one day of `having` to take the BR route.

We `congratulate` (if that is the right word) on getting through the process/day/event....the stress & upset is sooo overwhelming & we are supporting each other....not ever judging on the reasons why it happened as they are past & gone now....we can`t change whats happened.

Neillgb will no doubt grow up one day & learn what its like to live in the `real` world.

I`m not usually so forthright..but had a similar face-to face incident today & totally `lost` it really!!

    Nite, nite Angiexx

  • I often think that those who criticise the most have something to hide....ie they are putting up a front.

Maybe Neill has somehing he`d like to share....after all you would`nt really need to visit a BR board unless you wanted the info would you???

    Just a thought!!

Well maybe he is here doing research not sure what into mind you.

Maybe he thinks if he has a DMP he is SO much better than we are, well no matter what he is or who is, he is not a very nice person in my book. And one to press the ignore button on.

Lets face it I wonder if he has paid his dues!
