Well done 1bigmess! No one should have a problem with your circumstances - at the end of the day FAMILY COMES FIRST! We have all been through rough times on here through money and circumstances - family is what has helped me through. Wishing you and your family happier & stress free times ahead xx0

Well done for sorting you're life out.
As for the address issue. I see no reason why people should see where you lived, This country need the police to feel save in the job and even more when they leave.
I bet people would be amazed at how nasty people are in this world on a everyday basis.
Good luck for the future0 -
Thanks for all of your support and for those questioning why I should be treated differently because of my old job, here are the reasons....
I worked on a murder case. The offenders were all part of an organised criminal gangs and I'm not talking about teenage gangs with knives - that is bad enough but this was worse. There were threats made at the time that the officers involved ans their families would pay and we all had a degree of protection for a while. If my address had been published my family would be at huge risk.
With regards the private investigation job, again I'm not referring to upsetting people in a petty way. I was involved with fraud investigations and people obviously don't like it when they are caught out.
I'm sorry that people feel I have preferential treatment that I don't deserve, but hey of you were in my position would you not try and protect your family????
Again thanks to all of those that have sent their best wishes and for those facing it soon, good luck and trust me, it's fine....
Thanks for the info. Obviously, in this case, your address should not be published.
The 'upset a few people' bit did ring a bit unreasonable as you will realise.
The problem is that this site is increasingly becoming full of posters that think becoming bankrupt/not paying debts is a cause for celebration.0 -
We don't celebrate the fact a person has gone BR, we celebrate the fact that a person has taken the huge and very difficult step and has had the courage to get their life back under control. BR will affect yoir life for a very long time and is not an easy way out.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

I agree tigerfeet2006 - its one of teh bloody hardest things in teh world to accept that you messed up big time and to do something about it - sometimes I wish that people would keep their opinions to themselves - if they havent been through it then it is much more difficult to pass comment.0

Have a drink on me and the rest of the Bankruptcy board."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

and things that annoy me neil? having to explain myself to people like you everytime you see fit to come & post inflammatory remarks about a persons background you obviously know nothing about....funny thing? if i'd have had a pound for every time i've had to explain myself to someone like you i'd have not needed to go bankrupt
anyhow I digress
1bigmesson getting through everything in one piece :T (sorry I couldnt find anything bigger..I did try!)
