0705 numbers

Hi all,

Sorry if I posting in the wrong thread, just wondering if anyone can help?

I keep getting missed calls from a 0705 number on my mobile, and was wondering where these calls come from?

They seem to ring once or twice then ring off. Any ideas please?

And is there any way to stop them?

Many thanks

  • If you mean 0705 these are personal numbers which cost you an arm and a leg to call. They spam mobiles with them in the hope you ring back as they get a share of the call revenue. Best thing is ignore them.

If it is actually 0750 you are referring this is part of a normal UK mobile numbering range just like 077/078/079.

You can register your mobile number with TPS this can help to stop unwanted calls.

0750 numbers seem to be the ones given out by ASDA Mobile (on the Vodafone network). At least the ASDA PAYG mobile I bought last Saturday has a 0750 number!

    Ofcom's allocation list shows:

    075000-075039 Vodafone
    075040-075089 T-Mobile
    075090-075097 Jersey Telecom
    075098-075099 Reserved

Of course, the numbers may have moved on due to mobile number portability, but that's how it is :)
