Hi Droopyk :hello:
Just wanted to say hello and to say that you are in good hands here. You can do it, we are all with you and on your side.
I have had a look at your SOA, and most things I have jotted down have already been said:-
1)Look to switch your gas and electric, look at doing it on line with direct debit as you sometimes get cheaper rates. Also if switching gas and electric or doing car insurance or anything like that go through a cashback site and get some money in the process.
2) Phone bill, as somebody else said you can get an all in one package from sky or somebody else that combines TV, broadband and phone, I am sure it will be a lot cheaper.
4) Food bill. There is some great recipes and tips on this site for helping reduce your food bill and still eating great. It is amazing what you can find on this site.
Also make sure to read Martin Lewis's articles about various things. He has some good articles on shifting debt onto 0% interest credit cards or lower interest locked in over a long time, so you can reduce your interest and pay off the debts quicker.
Good luck and remember you only have to shout on this site and somebody will come along.
Cheers

Hi Everyone.
Just an update, Called CCCS and not able to help as no spare money anywhere so a DMP out of the question.
Called T Mobile and got the line rental down a little, took advice from elsewhere and was told only option is BR.
Cut down on the food bill now and still looking at other ways to save any money no matter how much.
Trying to get any additional hours at work whenever possible, now feeling tired and depressed, but perservering.
thanks for all the kind words given

You mention your wife is not in good health - can you claim any benfits? I think the website www.entitledto.com might be worth looking at? Other posters have suggested but I can't see that you've said if you have looked into this?SOA = Statement of Affairs (to find a SOA Calculator, google 'make sense of cards' & click on calculators tab > Statement of Affairs)0

Have you tackled those relatives of yours about the money you lent them?0

The reason I asked was there is no amount filled in for benefits on your SOA.
Has this been included anywhere??SOA = Statement of Affairs (to find a SOA Calculator, google 'make sense of cards' & click on calculators tab > Statement of Affairs)0 -

I am sure Sky must have a better deal, just tell them you are thinking of joining Virginmedia
http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html/bundles/index.html
You can also do better if you drop the mobile totally, can you get Freeview for your TV?
It generally seems you are paying over the odds for a lot of stuff, seems you were not so much of a happy shopper as someone who keeps the shopkeeper happy!!
Also have you considered bankruptcy?
http://www.payplan.com/bankruptcy.php
I am not too sure what it all entails but on the face of it it does not seem too bad to me.(pretty good actually) But also have a look at how long it would take to pay the debts off when you have had some of the advice from 'professional moneysavers' on here!! £37K is not much when you think how much a typical mortgage costs these days, they would want that as a deposit!!
If you think it will be too tough paying off the debt then just go bankrupt, I mean you are renting so what do you have to lose? Look into it carefully.
I mean if you really are thinking of 'ending it all' bankrupcy is the way to do it because it leaves you happy debt free, alive and smiling
Put things in perspective and think sensibly, no need to be gloomy, afterall if you go bankrupt, basically you are laughing ain't ya? It will also teach the banks to lend more sensibly in future.

Hi Everyone,
My wife does not claim disability living allowance, not looked into it.. thanks for that will do so.
The area that i live in is in the five valleys and freeview is totally out of the question i'm sorry to say.
Went to the CAB and they advise that my only way forward now is bankrupcy, as there is no cash left to offer even a token payment.
Thanks to all for the comments, been given some really good points
