On/Off Icon

Instead of going though > start > Shut Down / Restart etc, is there a way of creating those icons on my desktop?

    I remember a little desktop widget in Vista you could get that did this not sure if a xp program exists that does this too

    Well Hopefully you leant from that and got a decent AV and firewall.

    Also use a free malware program

    I also recommend using firefox and use the noscript addon.

    That indicates a problem with your browser settings, not a problem with Google.

    Your browser security settings should never be set low enough to let any website install anything on your PC unless explicitly trusted.

    The best setup that I've found is Firefox with NoScript.

    Though is that really Google's fault and not your browser's fault or security's fault?

    Thx poppy, I've no idea with computers, as my posts on here will confirm, my age is against me which will give you some idea of my understanding.

    As for AV & firewall, I have McAfee paid sub and superantispyware, as I say, my knowledge is very, very limited which is why I try not to do anthing with the settings / downloads etc, etc.
