Loose Change Challenge!

I'll join you! I had already decided earlier this week that I would save whatever change I had from my food budget each week so this fits in nicely with that
Will save 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p and *hopefully* £1s (if I'm lucky and not tempted elsewhere :rotfl:)
Good luck everyone!0 -
i already empty excess 1p 2p and 5p coins at irregular intervals. last count i had about £11. not much i know, but its something. i'm saving for a trip to Florida to see the NASCAR Dayona 500 in February 2011, after i am (hopefully) debt free. but at the rate of inflation, i think £11 will just about buy me one grandstand hot dog!Aiming to pay off £50,312.94 in less than 3 years - Starting from December 2015

Count me in too. I've just started putting all of my loose change into a tin (one that you have to open with a tin opener) so wont open it till its full. I save 10p, 20ps and the odd 50p gets chucked in now n then. I also have a seperate tin for my little un n put 1p, 2p n 5ps in that. Once full mine'll go towards my visa debt n my little uns'll just get put in his bank.£387.39/£196.46

Been saving change for years, it's helped me out a few times when I've had no money for food.
Hoping to use it for Xmas this year, so I'd love to join you0 -
I have two tubs at home: large glass coffee jar with screw lid for silver coins and a large metal Malibu bottle container for copper coins. At the end of each day or week, the coins from my purse and his wallet get decanted into the two tubs.
We only empty and count when the smaller (glass jar) is full and no more coins can go in!
Good luck with this challenge though.

I would like to join in as well please.
I have an old roses jar from Christmas about 6/7 years ago and I have saved 1p, 2p, 5p, 10, 20p and 50p's in there ever since. I never count what I have in it until November time then start again. This time however I intend not touching it until it is full to the brim! It is 3/4 full so far so hopefully by Christmas it will be full. I also have a large piggy bank for my £2 coins to go into.
Good luck everyone

Thanks to a thread similar to this I started saving 1/2/5 & 10ps last year.
£40+ richer so far this year!
I bag it up regularly & stash it in my savings account so it gathers interest faster.
I also keep a second moneybox for 'found' coins: 20p in August £1.29 to date in September, over £10 this year :jI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Sorry about the late update, been mega busy this weekend!
I've saved £1.54 this week, and I've decided to include 10p's in my count!0
