Which Eid should we have on our site logo?

Options
Hi guys,

We're just working out our site logos and were wondering which Eid would be the better one to have on the site logo. Is there one that means more to you or is more appropriate to celebrate? Please let me know! Thanks

hi, eid al adha is the bigger of the two, although eid fitr is the more celebrated (more like a party than the other one) - so eid fitr is the one for the site i say! :money:
  • Hi,
Eid al Adha is a 3 day celebration for the end of the pilgramage to Mecca.
Eid al Fitr is a 1 day celebration for the end of the month of Ramadaan (month of fasting).
Eid al Adha is considered the bigger Eid, it always seems a bit more formal. If you are on pilgramage yourself or have close family on pilgramage you feel a bit more involved and celebrate a bit more.
eid al Fitr is a bit more of a 'fun' celebration, we're just so glad to be eating again in the day! especially as this year the fasts are 15 hours
so my vote is for Eid al Fitr
Btw thanks for considering us and happy Ramadaan and Eid, to all MSErs.
  • Hi,

I agree... Eid alFitr is more of a 'fun' celebration as it signifies the end of the month of fasting, Ramadan. Date is approx. 1st October.

Again, thanks for considering us all!

I am a graphic designer by profession, so let me know if you would like ideas on what to put as logo... I'd love to help.

  • my vote goes to eid al fitr too, everyone looks forward to that one alot more
  • As the end of ramadhan is fast approaching, I think Eid-al-Fitr would be most appropriate.

  • Due to the vagaries of The Islamic calendar (based on moon sightings) Eid al Fitr has been announced for tommorow Tuesday 30th September, not 1st October as previously thought. So, MSE if you decided on this eid for having a site logo, better get a wiggle on!
Happy Eid to everyone on MSE.
