While I agree in what you are saying, I feel there were better ways of getting that point across rather than "RTFM" bearing in mind only a minority of people would know what that stood for anyways, and part of learning how to do something is being shown/talked though ect and (no disrespect to anyone here) technology doesnt come easy to some, and can be a struggle. People come here for help and guidance not to have the urnine extracted. I have only been on this part of the board activley posting for a week or two, but i have seen some very uncooperative, and quite rude and nasty people post on here, and that saddens me as it kills the spirit of the forum.

If I was to go onto the old style board and ask how to make "Yorkshire Puddings" I wouldnt be too happy if the response was "RTFRB".

Well done on solving the problem, although doesnt your laptop software come with said application to disable the mousepad? Im sure mine could be set up to do the same without the use of a third party application. But hey ho job done problem solved and you learnt something in the process.
