Meltdown Monday !..Thousands loose Jobs!

  • On the subject of "o"s, I am not a pedant, but I do find the "loose" thing blody irritating (sic).

How ironic how the City Boyz who always said public sector workers could never get a job in the "real world" are now facing that very predicament!

Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.

I'm not one for pedantry, but people getting the basics wrong consistently, is really irritating. Before signing up to a forum, one should be given a quick test on the differences between lose, loose, their, there, and they're.

Badly placed apostrophes (or should that be apostrophe's?) wind me up.

Plus of course; Could of, Should of, Would of.

    ARGH!

Anyone can make a typo or mental slip when spelling a word but it seems that the mistakes are ingrained and the worst thing is that when you see it repeated so many times (in many different forum posts and internet sites and even work emails) it starts to influence the way that you write.

Just like to say having perfect english doesn't make you intelligent.. it just gives the impression of intellect

Yes.............if you have nothing intelligent or helpful to add to the conversation then the next best thing appears to be to attempt to belittle anyone who does !!!!
