Arrgghh - Facebook virus!!!! Help needed...

Ah, now I think it's all beginning to dawn on me. A friend sent me a link to a video which he now says he has a virus and believes it's this... my internet explorer has stopped working as described by others and so has live messenger but I am still able to use chrome google.

It's all scary for me as I haven't done anything like this before. I am going to try the above as aliEnRIK has described in safe mode.

I use spybot and norton 360 and regcure.

I will let you know. It'll either work or my laptop will be going for a fly

Either way, in future I would advise against using ANY registry cleaner (reg cure in your case)
They can make a computer worse (Even kill the operating system), whilst making no difference whatsoever to performance (Making them near useless)

just for interest..... I found there was an article which I posted on facebook to help others

It has happened to loads and loads and loads of people. sigh.

I managed not to break anything and my laptop is safe from having it's first flying lesson so that's good !
