Many thanks Browntoa for the link and the very easy to follow directions. I don't use facebook but thought there was no harm in downloading it anyway, I try to be careful but with the best will in the world you never know.
I got a full bill of health anway but it was good to know about.
  • I've got it even worse; somehow this has banned me from using Internet Explorer on my laptop! I am having to use someone else's.

Any suggestions on what I should be looking for? I have uninstalled any new/unrecognised programmes and run a virus check which found nothing.

    Thanks in advance.....

This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

When I diagnostic it says cant connect to http port 80 port 143 etc. I have spent hours trying to fix it. I have tried to reinstall windows xp, but it would not re-install just becam unresponsive-- can anyone give me some advise?
