If you'd travel by car........we need a mathematician! I'm sure that someone here will be able to work out the cost per mile of travelling by car.
mmm We need a mathematicianDrive a 1.2 l Nissan Micra, costs approx £36.00 to fill tank and Car computer thingy calculates for me that I can do about 350 miles on a full tank. Think that works out about 10p a mile=50p in the pot. Guess I just answered my own question, doh!
Now what shall I treat myself to fall all this cyclingGetting Married 19/02/110 -
I have found something: what about not buying any cakes or bikkies but making our own? OH's treats are the only thing I can think of, as I dont have any carby stuff. i have already made him some pasties to take in to work (and apparently his colleagues are all jealous). I will give that a try! See how much I can save on our food budget."Don't cry, Don't Raise your Eye

Rarely have lunch out on a weekend, unless I have some Luncheon vouchers from Pinecone. Will try and think harder.
I use those luncheon vouchers at ASDA for money off my shopping, it does not have to be related to food shopping. I got £12 off clothes in one go. :j0 -
Excellent idea. I shall try to cut down my chocolate intake and keep a note of how much I've saved.0

I owe myself a quid cos I walked into town yesterday instead of taking the bus. I will put money over to my ING account cos the kids told me they want to go skiing next year! Better do a whole lot more walking...Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

When we gave over smoking (and before Mr TM's many re-starts ) we put the money in a jar for the first month. Once we knew how much we were saving, we opened a joint bank account and had a standing order into it. We saved loads but can't remember what we spent it on now - this was pre-children, in the days when we did treat ourselves
Louise : re car running costs, the tax people allow you 40p per mile against tax. I get 23p per mile, as you have to take into account more than just the petrol costs. Maybe you could say "charge" yourself 25p per mile (easy figure to remember). I think I may have to give up the (fake) baileys coffee. Much more damaging for the waistline than the purse tho', but it gives me a target. Then again, after Xmas my getting fit regime starts(Procrastination is one of my middle names

I use my luncheon vouchers either in my Tesco shop, or to buy a Dominoes pizza as a treat:drool:Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0
