Samsung Omnia Versus HTC Diamond Touch

I am trying to decide which is the better handset.
I use pretty much all of the functions including Windows mobile functions, browsing the web and the camera. I would like to hear from people who have used either of them to hear their thoughts.
Thanks in advance

  • Hi,
I can say im lucky enough to own both devices.

After using both for a few weeks i have to say the Omnia wins it for me.
The above link is a great in depth comparison.
But my views on a Bullet point are

    Omnia
+16gb Memory vs 4gb (also has expansion slot which gives the oppertunity for an extra 16gb!!)
+Camera is 5mp vs 3mp, also has ALOT more features, ie face and smile (personal fave), also has a very bright flash.
+Battery life is at double, this is no exageration, i get 3 days from the omnia, and wont make 2 on the diamond.
+Better processor, seems to help with things like decoding movies witout skipping
    - They forgot the stylus!, its a stupid phone charm type extra! Not end of the world as screen is ample size for fingers.
    - Resolution can be a pain for application

    Diamond
+Much higher level of rom customisation, from sites like XDA (HTC have a massive very intelegant fan base)
+Smaller and a little more compact
+much better interal GPS over omnia, im not saying the omnia is pants, just the diamond works with no tweaking
Screen im going for a + and - as its great to look super sharp and great detail, but important factor in short battery length.
-Battery life mega suck, it will struggle to make a day with decent use.

Hope you find this helpful, give me a shout if you want any further help!
