Advocaat, according to one of the early sites in the google link below is egg yolks and brandy.

Egg nogs seem to be similar, but not quite the same.

    Google egg nog + advocaat

Advocaat is soecifically a dutch egg nog, but there seems to be a lot of variation in recipes, from alcoholic ones to non alcoholic ones. Your best bet is to read the ingredients on the side of the carton and try combining them in different combinations till you get one you like!

TBH KatyKat I've never seen it. :o Where abouts did you buy it from? I know what you are talking about. I've had the homemade variety. It's pretty nice too but I think it is alcholic. I am off to work shortly and I will hunt around for a recipe if you are interested in making your own upon your return.

PS. Bring your sunscreen, it's hot as hell.:D

Well, we stay in Brisbane and it is available in most of the supermarkets, but we usually get it from Coles or Woolworths. However there is a small shop that sells it at the local shopping centre so I dont think it is a rarity. My Sis usually gets a few cartons in for us along with DOZENS!!!!! of Lamingtons  Yes I know it is hot, 32 last weekend I believe, but honestly Aussielass, you shouldn't complain, it B***** freezing here with snow forecast most of the country later this week. Cant wait to escape :j

Is this what you're looking for??

It says they're out of stock at the mo but if you get in touch with them they may be able to help.
I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle

I live pretty close to Brisbane. I'll check it out at Woolies when I shop next week. Can't wait to try some now. You can have the lammies, not real keen on them myself. I'm more of a Tim Tam girl. :D

Thanks Mrs B, it does seem like the same product although a different brand, but it just goes to show that it is only available mail order and it specificaly aimed at ex pats. Just wanted to pop some in my trolley when I go to ASDA really. Oh well, maybe someone reading this who works for a large dairy company may take it to the board, mass produce it and make millions £££ profit. Come to think of it, WHY CANT I DO THAT??????
