where can I buy Eggnog

When I visit my sister in Australia we buy the most delicious eggnog in cartons from the supermarket. I have never been able to find any in this country. I have tried several homemade recipes but none tastes just like the cartons ( or it just might be that I cant make it properly) Anyone know where I can buy it ( save travelling 13000 miles)

  • Love eggnog especially at xmas. Haven't seen it in cartons though, only in bottled.
  • On the HM christmas alcohol thread there's a recipe for Egg flip. Is this the same thing?

Well thanks Aussielass, but I am actually going in 2 weeks, but I make a real pig of myself when I'm there because I know I cant buy it when I get home. I dont bring any home though, i dont think it would travel well.
Smashing blouse, where do you get the bottles?

No, Eggnog is not the same as Advocaat. Thats a snowball, --Advocaat, lemonade and lime. Eggnog is creamier and as far as I know, it's not alcohol. Am I right Aussielass?

Sorry I dont know what it is then. A snowball is advocaat with lemonade and lime added and advocaat is a thick, sweet, gloopy yellow drink.
