health care cost certificate

i have just recieved mine and it says does not include prescripitons and i have to pay 54 towards dental treatement

it says my and my partners personal needs is 94.95
but because we are on incap benefit of 63.75 and my partners on jsa we earn 18.30 a week more than the allowance.
they have not taken housing or council tax cost into our personal needs

i got refused income support because of the same reason

how is it these people who sponge off the state get everything and when someone who generally needs help gets refused for everything

what am i doing wrong ?
:confused::confused::confused:

Your income is too high, that has been explained in the letter.

Be thankful that you have the income that you do, many have less.

Is there any reason why your partner does not have a job?

They will have allowed a reasonable amount for your rent, which will not necessarily match what you actually pay.

How long has your OH been employed? Surely this should be the push to make him realise that he needs to get something asap, and to take anything available?

  • You said you earn £18.39 more that the allowance where do you earn that if you are both on benefits?

How different perceptions can be. You do not think either you or your partner are 'spongers' although you both live on state Benefits. Why do you think other people who live on state benefits are 'spongers' and not just other people needing help?

i woudlnt say having an illness and claiming is sponging , i could have said how is it the chavs get money but i was trying ot be less offensive .
the allowance is 94.00 and incapacity benefit is 63.75 and job seekers is 47
also they have not taken into consideration housing costs

my partner has been looking for a job an applying for loads but because his skills lay in it not many people will even interview him for a job outside this .
he has applied to everywhere advertisiing for work .

I find it difficult to believe that he could not get work in a call centre - practically anyone can (I can think of call centres where absolutely anybody can!).

Have you thought about how lucky you are to be living on more than the minimum amount?

I also find it rather hypocritical that you can refer to others as spongers yet not yourself? I would be interested as to what makes you think that you are better than others on benefits?

Many other people living on benefits are also having the same problem getting employed as your partner (certainly I am despite having a shed-load of qualifications plus 30 years experience),so I don't understand why you are so quick to criticise other people on benefit.
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

look i wasnt nesscarily criticizing people on benefit but you read in the daily mail about these people who get all this help etc

I am sorry i asked for peoples help

i have untill last year worked hard for 11 years and paid contributions etc then throught no fault of my own i have been unable to work for large periods this year and no claiming incapacity benefit , so i tried to get help towards my prescriptions and got refused so i asked for help

i have been getting my partner to apply for jobs etc i feel bad enough knowing i cannot work and that is depressing enough as it is without having to worry about how im supposed to afford to pay to live
