okay, fair play to magpie music. a cheque finally arrived this morning. it took much longer than expected but they have --in the end- been true to their word.

    Has it taken 3 weeks?
  • i used them after seeing them on the email, and it ran as smoothly as you would expect considering that they use non-first class mail. i asked them if they had thought about using a quicker mail service, but they explained that though freepost was slower, they did not want to use a priority service, as they would have to pass on the costs to us punters. so, if it means waiting a week longer means i get more money, then i am not going to moan.

to be fair, their customer services have always been very helpful and very prompt with me.

i think it is a bit harsh to call them dishonest though - things do get lost in the post, don't they?

    blimey, we're a suspicious lot, aren't we?
  • Yes, about 3 weeks. They put it down to the slowness of the 'freepost' system which may well be true.
  • Thanks for the update guys..

My cheque has come...but not sure when it came :)
  • I to am having problems. I posted some of my CDs over 3 weeks ago and in todays e-mail they claim they have still not been received. Their own T&Cs say freepost takes longer but should be there within 5-7 working days. Equally they also state they will send a cheque within 3 working days.

I think a warning should be put on post 1 about their service as it seems shabby at best.

    My cheque arrived today :D
Started the process on the 21st Sept so it has taken about 4 weeks in total, and again about 3 weeks since I sent the CDs in.

snap littleange_com! My cheque arrived today too. :D

To be fair to musicmagpie - imagine all the extra cd's they've had to deal with since being mentioned on this website. Much as I enjoy all sorts of music, I would not like that job - I wonder if they listen to every track on a cd!?
