Has it taken 3 weeks?0 -
i used them after seeing them on the email, and it ran as smoothly as you would expect considering that they use non-first class mail. i asked them if they had thought about using a quicker mail service, but they explained that though freepost was slower, they did not want to use a priority service, as they would have to pass on the costs to us punters. so, if it means waiting a week longer means i get more money, then i am not going to moan.
to be fair, their customer services have always been very helpful and very prompt with me.
i think it is a bit harsh to call them dishonest though - things do get lost in the post, don't they?
blimey, we're a suspicious lot, aren't we?0 -
Yes, about 3 weeks. They put it down to the slowness of the 'freepost' system which may well be true.0

iv just sent some cds to them today and just logged the next batch with them so hopefully get the cheque in next 2 weeks. Also went on that cex website and sold them over £22 worth of cds only problem is I have to pay for sending them these were the cds that music magpie didnt want!:j :j0

Ooh thanks for that, don't think CEX used to do CDs0

My cheque has come...but not sure when it came0

I to am having problems. I posted some of my CDs over 3 weeks ago and in todays e-mail they claim they have still not been received. Their own T&Cs say freepost takes longer but should be there within 5-7 working days. Equally they also state they will send a cheque within 3 working days.
I think a warning should be put on post 1 about their service as it seems shabby at best.0 -
My cheque arrived today
Started the process on the 21st Sept so it has taken about 4 weeks in total, and again about 3 weeks since I sent the CDs in.0 -
snap littleange_com! My cheque arrived today too.
To be fair to musicmagpie - imagine all the extra cd's they've had to deal with since being mentioned on this website. Much as I enjoy all sorts of music, I would not like that job - I wonder if they listen to every track on a cd!? :dance:0
